Two
artifacts from unexplored zones in-between Australopithecus afarensis
(Lucy) and Buia homo, collected by the author in 1973 in Dankalia.
While they have no scientific value since collected just as a curiosity
by an amateur, they have been certified as authentic by professional
anthropologists and geologists. Their importance however lies in that
they have been collected midway between Hadar's "Lucy" site
and Buia's Homo ergaster site, not far from Lake Afrera on the old route
from Lake Afrera to Sardo. This may point to the possibility of an interesting
paleoanthropological site in those environments. |
